Interview Questions for Managers to Ask

Recently, I visited with an old friend who has been a Human Resources manager for a long time, and we discussed the value Keyline Company's Benchmark Report brings to my clients. I asked her to comment on the value of our reports, as she saw it.  Boy, was I surprised by her insight.

She has seen that our reports provide a set of specific questions, based on the needs of the position. She said this feature is "awesome" because the number-one complaint she has tended to hear is that managers flat-out have not known how to interview the candidates she has passed on to them. Namely, these managers have not been able to determine, during the interviews, whether these candidates had the talents needed to succeed in the positions they were applying for. My friend had been compelled to hire outside people to come in and train managers how to ask the right questions.

Our Benchmark Reports include specific interview questions to determine whether candidates will excel at the job at hand. These interview questions are "awesome" in my friend's mind because they mean that when she selects a candidate for a manger to interview, the manager will ask all the right questions to determine whether the candidate will succeed in the position.
