We have enjoyed an uncommon increase in business in the past three weeks. Recently, I shared with you how I made contact with a former client the old-fashioned way – by making a person-to-person phone call. I ended up visiting with another former client who had moved up the food chain with a budget. (It really is wonderful when that happens.) Well, I am in the process of searching for a salesperson for this national-level client, and I've turned up some great candidates so far.

In the meantime, a current client ordered three positions to be filled, and another client called us back to search for a sales position. By the end of July, we had nine positions on CareerBuilder.com. 

Our process of finding candidates is a real winner because of CareerBuilder and the software we use. In the month of July, we had 97,129 searches for our positions. All these people looked at our ads. That breaks down to 10,792 searches per position, 6,170 people opening our ads, and 1,078 applications.


We enjoy the success of having this large source of needed candidates. The source of our success is the benchmarking process we use to identify the personal talents needed for each position within each company – a process that considerably narrows down the available candidates who are a match for both the position and the company. This is our fifth year using this process, and now we want to reach out to larger companies and corporations. If you need a new hire, you should give us a call before you make your first move.
